Voice and text reflections
Say it or type it. Speech is turned into text on your device.
How it works
Reflect is your space to put a thought down, whenever you like. nørma offers a question to start with, such as “What’s on your mind?”, and you can type your answer or say it out loud.
If you speak, the app turns your speech into text on your phone. If your phone can’t do that on the device, nørma won’t record rather than send your voice somewhere else to be transcribed. In a web browser, transcription also runs inside the browser. Your recording is saved to your account so you can play it back.
When you save, the text of your reflection is sent to a third-party AI service to write your mirror, suggest one small step and note the themes in it.
Step by step
Good to know
Voice recordings have a three-minute limit. The first time you speak, your phone asks for permission to use the microphone and speech recognition.
Your name isn’t sent to the AI. A theme label from a reflection may be counted, alongside others, in results for groups of at least five people. Your words and your name are never shared.
Reflect is for everyday thoughts. If you need to talk to someone now, open You and tap “Support”.
Your employer never sees your check-in answers, reflections, voice recordings or scores. Only anonymised results for groups of at least five people.
