If you say “Not now” to the AI notice
What changes if you don’t want a third-party AI to read your reflections.
How it works
Before your first reflection, nørma shows “A third-party AI reads your reflections”. It explains that when you save a reflection, nørma sends it to a third-party AI service, which writes your mirror, picks one small step and notes the themes in it. To pick the step, it also sees your latest check-in answers.
If you tap “Not now”, the reflection screen closes and nothing is sent. You can’t write a reflection without agreeing, because every saved reflection goes to the AI. The notice shows again the next time you start one.
Good to know
Everything else works as normal. Your check-in and its mirror don’t use AI: the check-in mirror is built from your answers by fixed rules.
Habits, growth work, Gratitude, Reset and growth journeys don’t use AI. Nor do the private note at the end of your check-in or “How did it go?” on growth work.
Changed your mind? Start a reflection and tap “Continue”.
The AI is run by Anthropic, outside Australia. Besides your reflection and latest check-in answers, it gets the names of habits and growth work you’ve chosen and a summary of earlier themes, never your name.
Nobody where you work can read your entries. Your answers and habits reach them only inside group figures, never with your name.
Groups smaller than 5 people never show. In a small team, a figure can come from one person.
