When you need more support
In danger right now? Call 000 in Australia or 911 in the United States. Where to turn if you’d like to talk to someone.
How it works
If you or someone else is in danger right now, call 000 in Australia or 911 in the United States.
If you’d like to talk to someone now, open You and tap “Support”. It lists people to talk to in your region, such as Lifeline on 13 11 14 in Australia or 988 (call or text) in the United States, plus any support your organisation has added, like an Employee Assistance Program, under “At work”. The helplines on the Support screen work offline.
nørma supports your wellbeing day to day. It isn’t a crisis service. It doesn’t diagnose or treat anything, it isn’t therapy, and nobody watches what you enter.
Step by step
- If you or someone else is in danger right now, call 000 in Australia or 911 in the United States.
- Open the You tab and tap “Support”.
- Tap a number to call, such as Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 in Australia, or 988 in the United States.
- Check “At work” for support your organisation offers.
- To see the right numbers for where you live, set your region on the Support screen, or under You, in “Preferences”.
Good to know
If something you write in a reflection suggests you may be at risk, nørma shows you contact details for support services. It will not alert your employer or anyone else.
Because nobody monitors nørma, it can’t send help to you. Please reach out directly.
nørma doesn’t replace a doctor, psychologist or counsellor. If you’re finding things hard, speaking to one is a good next step.
