Focus area

Why one pillar or culture question is named this month, and what to do.

THE DASHBOARD · READING THE SIGNAL1 MIN READUPDATED 13 OCT 2026

How it works

The “This month’s focus” card names one thing to look at for the scope you’re viewing. It’s either a pillar or one of the three culture questions, with its score.

If any culture question is in the lowest band, the lowest of those is chosen first. Otherwise it’s the group’s lowest pillar. When scores are close together, the card offers it as a suggestion rather than calling it the lowest.

Step by step

  1. Open Dashboard and choose your scope. Pick a department to see that department’s focus.
  2. Read the focus card and its score.
  3. Tap “Open the session” to see sessions from the library for that area.
  4. Run it with your team, then log the growth work.
  5. Next month, check Signal shift to see what moved.

Good to know

Once check-ins arrive, it names something, even in good months. Treat it as a starting point.

It uses group averages only, which can rest on one answer.

To compare departments side by side, use Teams.

WHAT YOU SEE

Group figures only, never a person’s answers. Groups below your organisation’s minimum never show, and in a small group a figure can rest on one answer.
